Science concerns us all, but it only reaches part of the public. This is why Gebert Rüf Stiftung has been supporting «Scientainment» with CHF 2 million annually for 10 years, combining science with entertainment and making it accessible to a wide audience. The presentation looks at specific funding projects and their impact, but also addresses funding strategy considerations and shows how important it is for the Swiss research funding system to support science communication more strongly as the ‘missing link’ in the knowledge value chain.
