In collaboration with the Round Table Friends of Education, SwissFoundations and the WG International Cooperation plan to engage in an institutional dialogue with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) in 2025.

This dialogue would open with a high-level session featuring Patricia Danzi, Director General of the SDC, alongside CEOs from various foundations addressing themes of mutual interest. It would be followed by thematic workshops at a senior technical level to foster deeper discussions.

To prepare for this important dialogue, we invite WG International Cooperation members to participate in a webinar on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 14:00. The webinar’s aim is to gather your inputs on key topics and themes to prioritize in discussions with the SDC.

The goal of this institutional dialogue would be to co-create a substantial agenda that goes beyond information-sharing, aiming to enhance development impact through collaboration, co-financing, and engagement on shared priorities. Additionally, it seeks to highlight the expertise, diversity, and funding approaches of foundations, emphasizing their critical role and contributions within the landscape of international cooperation. By aligning efforts and supporting common agenda points, we can explore diverse forms of increased coordination.
