Working Group Corporate Foundations: Welcoming a New Co-Leader
In recent years, a growing number of companies have established their own foundations. The SwissFoundations Working Group Corporate Foundations provides a unique platform for these foundations to connect, exchange ideas, foster peer learning and explore new ways to maximise their impact.
The Working Group greatly benefits from a strong and dynamic co-leadership of experienced experts. As of this December, the leadership team is complete, comprising Dr. Joëlle Pianzola, Laetitia Vuillemenot, Dr. Kristian Tersar, and the newly joined Grégory Renand. A warm welcome to the team!
Joëlle Pianzola is the managing Director of the ZKB Philanthropie Stiftung. Before joining the newly established umbrella foundation, she was Managing Director of the Corporate Foundation of Sonova, Executive Director of a policy lab at ETH Zurich and a management consultant for the public and private sector. Joëlle holds a PhD from the University of Lausanne.
Laetitia Vuillemenot is the Director of the Givaudan Foundation. Born in the South of France, she worked in various roles – marketing, procurement and sustainability – within the Beauty sector Fragrance & Flavours industry. She co-led the establishment of the Givaudan Foundation ten years ago and has since developed and grown the Foundation’s team and impact in communities around the world where the Company sources and operates. Laetitia studied Political Science and has a Masters degree in Management of the Flavor & Fragrance Industry.
Gregory Renands is the head of Z Zurich Foundation. Since joining Zurich Insurance Group from PwC in 2005, he has held various leadership roles, including Group Head of Sponsorships and Global Head of Zurich’s Thought Leadership Initiative. As Head of the Z Zurich Foundation since 2020, Gregory leads a team of 23 dedicated talents who are supporting over five million vulnerable people each year through global collaborations and charitable initiatives.
Dr. Kristian Tersar has been the Executive Director of the Osteology Foundation in Lucerne since 2017. He brings over 15 years of experience in scientific project management and nonprofit foundation leadership. His academic background includes a PhD in Cell and Neurobiology from ETH Zurich, complemented by postgraduate training in foundation and project management. Fluent in German, Slovenian, and English, he brings expertise in strategic leadership, interdisciplinary collaboration, and effective communication within international settings.
