Blueprint 2023 – How will philanthropy in a digital civil society look like?
The 14th Blueprint edition on « Philanthropy and Digital Civil Society » has been published by Lucy Bernholz. The publication is an annual industry forecast about the ways we use private resources for public benefit in the digital age.
Blueprint 2023 is an encouraging call for philanthropic reform in relation to all-pervasive digitalization. The 14th issue deals intensively with the context and condition of digital civil society, digital governance within nonprofits and philanthropy, as well as the importance to democracy of digital pluralism. Blueprint 2023 not only takes a critical look at the issues, but also demonstrates the possibilities of open-source AI systems such as DALL-E and GPT-3.
Lucy Bernholz is Senior Research Scholar and Director of the Digital Civil Society Lab, which is part of Stanford University’s Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society (PACS).
This edition features a collection of essays from guest authors.
