Interest in impact investing in listed equities has been growing rapidly due to its potential to deliver outsized impact (compared to impact investing in the private markets). However, there is still no common understanding about what impact can be achieved through listed equities and what qualifies as impact investing in listed equities. Where and how does impact happen? Is investor contribution possible?

This virtual event organized by the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) will offer insights into the findings of the Listed Equities Working Group consisting of over 80 member organizations. The Working Group recently developed a paper, Impact Investing in Listed Equities: Strategies for Pursuing Impact, which summarizes key findings surfaced through discussions held by the group to better understand the essential characteristics of pursuing impact in listed equities.
