Following the first preparatory webinar held on December 16, 2024, the co-leaders of the WG International Cooperation, the RT Friends of Education, and SwissFoundations are pleased to invite you to a follow-up webinar to discuss the next steps in preparing the upcoming Institutional Dialogue with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), scheduled to take place later this year.

About the Institutional Dialogue
Planned as a half-day event between August and September 2025 (exact date to be confirmed), the Institutional Dialogue will include:

• High-level segment: Bringing together Patricia Danzi, Director General of the SDC, heads of SDC’s sections, and a small number of foundation CEOs to define a shared strategic direction.

• Thematic mini-workshops: Targeted, technical-level discussions designed to advance collaboration in four jointly selected key areas: Climate, Education, Economy, and Health.

Objective of the April 8 Webinar
The aim of this webinar is to shape the next steps of the Dialogue preparation, specifically to:

• Provide a brief update on relevant ongoing initiatives from SwissFoundations members about the foreign aid crisis (e.g., the StCH network, long-term thematic discussions planned on June 3 and at the Symposium)

• Present the concept and ambition behind the Institutional Dialogue

• Gauge your interest in participating in the thematic mini-workshops, and explore which key area(s) your organization would be most engaged in

• Introduce the high-level segment (participation in this segment can be discussed further at a later stage)

This Dialogue is not just about exchanging information—it is an opportunity to co-create a meaningful, action-oriented agenda for stronger SDC-foundation collaboration.
