Circular Economy and Beyond

09h30 - 17h00

Biel/Bienne

für Mitglieder

Following their „Rethinking and Regrounding Economics“ workshop in Lausanne earlier this year, the ESWG is eager to delve deeper into systemic approaches to resource use, particularly within the context of the circular economy. The ESWG aims to explore the current state of circular economy approaches, discuss ways to strengthen their impact, and identify potential aspects that may have been overlooked in recent years to drive a profound paradigm shift. The ESWG will explore topics such as social challenges in ecological transition, sufficiency, the implications of innovative business models, and the overall political framework, including the specific context of Swiss politics.

As always, the event will feature inspiring insights from leading experts alongside tangible examples of philanthropic initiatives. Additionally, the ESWG will offer ample opportunities for networking and exclusive funders-only discussions, promoting collaborative learning and ensuring a meaningful, impactful experience for all participants.

The event will take place in-person in Biel/Bienne on the 4th of March from 9:30 to 17:00 followed by drinks.

The organizing committee* is currently finetuning the programme, inviting inspiring speakers etc. If you would like to contribute, do not hesitate to get in touch.

* Joséphine von Mitschke-Collande (Mercator Stiftung Switzerland, ESWG co-leader), Nicolas Krausz (Fondation Leenaards, ESWG co-leader), Zacharias Huwyler (Migros Pionierfonds), Claudia Neubauer (Fondation Charles Léopold Mayer), Valerie Remoquillo-Jenni (Fourfold Foundation), Holger Schmid (Minerva Stiftung).
